This Year 1 Adding ‘un’ Application and Reasoning activity provides children with the opportunity to practise applying their knowledge and giving reasons as to why the prefix ‘un’ has been added and how it changes the meaning of the root word. The worksheets allow children to select root words where the prefix ‘un’ has been added correctly, to add ‘un’ to a root word and use it in a sentence and explain how adding the prefix ‘un’ to a word can change the meaning of a sentence.
