This Year 1 Adding ‘un-’ Application and Reasoning activity provides children with the opportunity to practise applying their knowledge and giving reasons as to why the prefix ‘un-’ has been added and how it changes the meaning of the root word. The worksheets allow children to select root words where the prefix ‘un-’ has been added correctly, to add ‘un-’ to a root word and use it in a sentence and explain how adding the prefix ‘un-’ to a word can change the meaning of a sentence.
