This Year 1 Addition Problems discussion problem activity will help your children to solve addition problems with numbers to 20. We've created two open-ended questions for your children to work through using their knowledge and understanding of solving addition problems. Both questions include a scaffold with either a number track or a visual representation and use real life contexts too.

This resource has been designed to promote paired or small group work. Perfect for an adult-led activity to help children dig deeper and use their understanding of numbers up to 20 to solve addition problems.
