What’s included in the Year 1 Addition Problems Homework resource and why is it useful?

Year 1 Addition Problems Homework is a worksheet to consolidate this step after it has been taught, at home or in class. The content includes two varied fluency questions, one problem solving question and a full answer sheet, covering solving addition problems within 10 by completing total sentences, adding scores and making 7 or 8.

Expected

• Q1 completing two sentences to find the total number of marbles held by two children, using the number of marbles each child has.
• Q2 finding how many points two children have scored altogether when they score 3 and 6 with their darts.
• Q3 finding three different ways of scoring 7 or 8 by throwing two tennis balls into buckets marked 2, 3, 4 and 5, and writing each as an addition.
