KS1 All Saints' Day Activity Worksheet introduces younger children to All Saints' Day. In the first question, children complete a short fact file using a word bank. As they fill the gaps, they learn that the day falls on the 1st of November, the day after Halloween, and that people light candles to remember the saints.
Children then match pictures of a candle, a halo, a church and a heart to the correct words. The final question asks them to draw someone who is kind and good, which is a gentle way into talking about what a saint is.
The worksheet is written for KS1, so it suits Year 1 and Year 2. The word bank and pictures help children who are still building confidence with reading, and the drawing gives you something to share and talk about as a class. You could use it:
in an RE lesson about Christian festivals
as morning work around the 1st of November
after an assembly or collective worship about All Saints' Day
to start a class discussion about kindness
