Introduce this new topic of plants to your class with this Year 1 Are All Plants the Same? Investigation Lesson.

In this Year 1 lesson, pupils will recap how trees change with the seasons, then engage in a practical investigation to observe the differences and similarities between different plants. They will record their findings in a table. They will also sort plants, according to their features and, finally, learn about the job of a botanist, to give this lesson a real-life context.
