This Year 1 Recognise a Quarter of a Quantity Teaching PPThelps children recognise that a quarter is one of four equal parts of a whole.

The learning is broken into Let’s Learn sections, where new learning and vocabulary is modelled and Let’s Practise sections, where pupils immediately apply what has been taught in small sections.

To deepen understanding, the PPT includes a reasoning question and a problem solving question to give children the opportunity to apply knowledge in new contexts.
