It's the end of the first half term and what better time to see what your class has learnt. These Year 2 Arithmetic Tests for Autumn 1 cover the national curriculum objectives from the first half term and also some of those covered in Year 1, giving your class a little nudge and reminder about what they have learnt previously (and maybe forgotten - six weeks is a long time for growing minds). They're a great tool for you to identify any gaps in learning and a great way to see how your class will start to develop their assessment-taking skills.

Curriculum Objectives

  • Add and subtract one-digit and two-digit numbers to 20, including zero
  • Recall and use addition and subtraction facts to 20 fluently, and derive and use related facts up to 100
  • Add and subtract numbers using concrete objects and pictorial representations, including: a two-digit number and ones; a two-digit number and tens; two two-digit numbers; adding three one-digit numbers
  • Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers
