This Year 5 Arithmetic Tests Autumn 1 pack consists of six differentiated arithmetic assessments covering the national curriculum objectives from Autumn 1, and those of previous year groups. There are 18 questions in the first three sets of worksheets and 21 in the more challenging three sets. It's up to you how you use them, timed or untimed, but they will hopefully give your class some exposure to the arithmetic tests they will face in future. Because we all love testing...
Curriculum Objectives
- Count from 0 in multiples of 4, 8, 50 and 100
- Find 10 or 100 more or less than a given number
- Add and subtract numbers mentally, including: three-digit number and ones; three-digit number and tens; three-digit number and hundreds
- Add and subtract numbers with up to three digits, using formal written methods of columnar addition and subtraction
- Find 1,000 more or less than a given number
- Add and subtract numbers with up to 4 digits using the formal written methods of columnar addition and subtraction where appropriate
- Recall multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12 × 12
- Add and subtract numbers mentally with increasingly large numbers
- Multiply and divide whole numbers and those involving decimals by 10, 100 and 1,000
