What’s included in the Year 2 Plants 5-Minute Science resource and why is it useful?

Year 2 Plants 5-Minute Science is a set of three revision worksheets covering the whole topic of plants. These have been designed to give your children up to three opportunities to engage in deliberate practice outside of the teaching of the topic. This resource covers how seeds and bulbs grow into mature plants, what plants need to grow and stay healthy, the parts of a plant and their functions, and the parts of plants we eat.

How do our 5 Minute Science resources work?

As these resources are designed for re-cap and revision, you could use 5 Minute Science resources during the topic for early morning work, towards the end of the topic or even later in the year as a re-cap. The content across the three worksheets covers the national curriculum objectives for plants year 2 science.
