Get your Year 2 GPS lessons off to a great start with this Year 2 Ready to Write Unit Plan. This resource recaps the learning from Year 1 to ensure children have a solid foundation in order to build upon it with the GPS knowledge they will gain. The document consists of a yearly overview, so that you can see where this unit of work fits in. It also provides small steps guidance that is matched to each objective.

With each small step guidance page, you should expect a notes and guidance section. This is followed by some focussed questions that any adult in the class can use to check children's understanding. The document can be used by any adult and the notes, guidance and focussed questions are linked to the accompanying activities for each lesson.
