If your children are struggling to count their winnings in games of Monopoly, or just need some help understanding counting in fifties, this Year 3 Count in 50s Modelling PowerPoint is the resource for them! After recapping some useful, previously-learned number facts (multiples of five), the PowerPoint guides you and your class through four varied fluency questions and three reasoning and problem-solving questions, all designed to help your class apply and check their understanding of counting in fifties.

Each question comes with its own answer slide, so you can spot misconceptions swiftly and give immediate feedback. The reasoning answers are revealed in two stages, to give children a second chance to work out the reasoning after hearing the correct answer to the question. All the questions on the slideshow correspond to the ones found on our worksheets for this lesson, so this is a great place to start before moving on to them!
