What’s included in the Year 3 Light and Shadows 5-Minute Science resource and why is it useful?

Year 3 Light and Shadows 5-Minute Science is a set of three revision worksheets covering the whole topic of light and shadows. These have been designed to give your children up to three opportunities to engage in deliberate practice outside of the teaching of the topic. This resource covers needing light to see and dark as the absence of light, natural and man-made light sources, how well different surfaces reflect light, the danger of looking at the Sun and how to protect your eyes, and how shadows are formed when an opaque object blocks the light.
