This Year 3 Movement and Turns (Recap) Reasoning and Problem Solving worksheet is designed to recap prior learning around movement and turns from Year 2. Questions include using directional language such as: left, right, up, down, clockwise and anti-clockwise. Questions also explore half, quarter and three-quarter turns. This resource has three different reasoning and problem solving questions with two versions of each, providing children with plenty of opportunity to refamiliarise themselves with movement and turns. An answer page is provided to make marking easier.


Curriculum Objectives

  • Use mathematical vocabulary to describe position, direction and movement, including movement in a straight line and distinguishing between rotation as a turn and in terms of right angles for quarter, half and three-quarter turns (clockwise and anticlockwise)
