Get children applying their knowledge of angles and shapes with this Year 3 Right Angles Reasoning and Problem Solving resource. Children will face two problem-solving style questions and one reasoning style question and have two opportunities to answer each question type. This will help children to build their confidence. We have also included three levels of differentiated to offer your choice and challenge.

Use this resource after a set of varied fluency questions, as another independent task. Alternatively, this can be offered as a challenge or extension resource, or give to children as an activity as part of an intervention session. We've got the answers covered with the handy answer sheet too!

  • Identify right angles, recognise that two right angles make a half-turn, three make three quarters of a turn and four a complete turn; identify whether angles are greater than or less than a right angle
