Worksheet

Introduce year 3 children to tenths with this lovely Year 3 Tenths Varied Fluency worksheet. The aim of this resource is to help children identify that a tenth is when a 1-digit number has been divided into ten equal parts. Each question on this worksheet contains a visual representation either as a shape or bar model to help children work out the parts of the tenth that has been shaded. We have created three questions with two versions of each to help children identify and label tenths and also provided an answer page to help make marking easier.

Curriculum Objectives

  • Count up and down in tenths; recognise that tenths arise from dividing an object into 10 equal parts and in dividing one-digit numbers or quantities by 10
