Forces and Magnets
Help children get to grips with push and pull forces with this Year 3 What Are Forces? Lesson.
In this PowerPoint, pupils will learn key vocabulary linked to forces and be introduced to a variety of different push and pull scenarios. Children will then sort actions into a Venn diagram and experiment with toys to identify which forces make them work. They also have the opportunity to learn about a profession that uses push and pull forces every day!
National Curriculum Objectives:
Notice that some forces need contact between two objects, but magnetic forces can act at a distance.
