Develop children's understanding of magnetic forces with this Year 3 What Are Magnetic Forces? Investigation Lesson.

In this Year 3 lesson, pupils will explore how some forces need contact between objects, while magnetic forces can act at a distance. Children will test a variety of materials to discover which are magnetic or non-magnetic, then complete a comparative test to investigate whether the size of a magnet affects the distance it can attract an object, recording their findings in a table and graph.
