In this Year 3 PowerPoint, pupils will learn key vocabulary linked to seed dispersal and be introduced to what this is and why plants do it, before exploring 4 of the main methods of seed dispersal in turn - wind, sticking to animals, explosion or being eaten by animals. Each one is explained fully with examples. Children will then design and make a seed that can be dispersed by the wind, then sort examples of seeds into which dispersal method is used and why they think that.
