

Continue the Year 5 unit on 'living things and their habitats' with this lesson, Are Life Cycles the Same Around the World? showcasing the amazing variety of life cycles in the animal kingdom.
Pupils will learn about the lifespans of a range of animals, which leads on to a discussion about life cycles, with examples highlighting the unusual life cycles of kangaroos, seahorses and clownfish. For their tasks, children will research the life cycles of other animals and then create game cards which will encourage them to compare the life cycles of different animals in a fun and engaging way.
