Continue the Year 5 unit on 'living things and their habitats' with this lesson on naturalists and animal behaviourists.

In this Year 5 PowerPoint, pupils will learn about what naturalists and animal behaviourists are, with examples of each and information about similiarities and differences between their jobs. There is opportunity for pupil discussion about known animals, such as pets. For their tasks, they will write a job description for a naturalist and write a biography of a famous naturalist; both of these could be extended into English lessons for deeper writing opportunities, or kept within Science as a chance to include writing across the curriculum.
