In this PowerPoint, pupils will learn key vocabulary linked to reproduction and understand how it ensures a species' survival. The lesson covers the key stages of reproduction with a focus on gestation periods and how these differ in a variety of mammals. For their tasks, children will research the gestation period of different mammals and present their findings using a bar graph. A worksheet is available to support this task. Then, they will write a guide to the reproduction of two groups of mammals that reproduce differently, monotremes and marsupials.
