In this PowerPoint, pupils will learn key vocabulary linked to reproduction and then learn about what reproduction is, and how fertilisation ensures a species' survival. They will consider traits that offspring get from their parents, then learn about the human gestation period and how it compares to other mammals. After investigating mammals that are exceptions and how other animals have a different gestation period, children will research the gestation period of different mammals and write a guide on reproduction of monotremes and marsupials.
