Worksheet

Use this Year 5 Estimate and Compare Angles Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to challenge your pupils to solve problems using what they know about estimating and comparing angles.

The first two questions are reasoning problems which check that they understand how to estimate angles. The angles presented become progressively more challenging as they move through the worksheet. The third question is a problem solving question where they find more than one solution based on the information given and draw angles for their answer. It is essential that rulers are available for this task, however, they do not require protractors at this stage.

Each question has two similar parts to encourage confidence and an answer key is provided for teachers and pupils who are marking their own work.

A varied fluency resource is also available for this small step.
