A house has been destroyed but what has happened! In this writing task children are asked to consider using relative pronouns and omitting relative pronouns when writing a story about what has happened. Children are provided with challenges to develop their writing.

This Year 5 Omitting Relative Pronouns Application worksheet would be a great assessment tool as children use what they know about relative pronouns when writing a story. This activity can be completed independently but could also be used as a discussion point for small groups or interventions.

The worksheet comes with a model answer which can be shared with the children as a good example or to aid your marking.
