This Year 5 Word Classes Application resource allows children to do some writing whilst thinking about the nouns, adjectives and verbs they are using.

The worksheet provides a picture prompt and a word bank full of related vocabulary. After choosing the words they want to use, they write a paragraph inspired by the picture. Finally, they use coloured pencils to underline their chosen words according to their word class.

An answer sheet is included so you can show your class what a good response might look like before they start writing.
