This Year 6 Algebra Mistake Investigators includes a range of reasoning and problem-solving style questions that are similar to questions children could encounter on their SATs papers. The questions are designed to be answered in groups to promote discussion and development of reasoning skills.

The questions cover the algebra objectives from the National Curriculum and build on skills learnt throughout our algebra resources: express missing number problems algebraically, use simple formulae, generate and describe linear number sequences, find pairs of numbers that satisfy an equation with two unknowns and enumerate possibilities of combinations of two variables.

If you're looking for something that will help your children develop their skills and help them to become more investigative learners, you're in the right place.
