The presentation explains step-by-step how to identify and write in a formal or informal style, giving special attention to the use of standard English, slang, contractions and the subjunctive form.

At the end of the presentation, two modelled examples of an application question and one modelled example of a reasoning question are provided, along with the answers. A separate modelling PowerPoint to enable you to review a range of question types with your pupils is available for this small step.
