This Year 6 Find Pairs of Values 2 Fluency Matrix worksheet will help children understand how to enumerate and calculate pairs of values that could satisfy an equation, where one of the unknown values may be a multiple (e.g. 2a + b = 7). This resource is designed to support this small step and the preceding small step (find pairs of values 1, where equations will not contain a multiple).

In this resource, children will use shapes to represent numbers to find pairs of values, then solve equations and find pairs of numbers that can satisfy an equation.
