This engaging Year 6 Paragraphs in Non-Fiction Mixed Activity allows children to put into practice what they have learnt about using paragraphs in a piece of non-fiction writing. This activity provides two pieces of non-fiction text, one about the Shang Dynasty and the other about British Schools. There are three varied fluency questions, one reasoning and two application questions on features of these texts such as a table, subheadings and how to link paragraphs.

Children can complete this activity independently, in small groups or in pairs. There is also a useful answer sheet provided to make marking quick and easy.
