This Year 6 Percentage of an Amount (Related to Fractions) Varied Fluency worksheet will consolidate prior learning about what percentages are before building on that knowledge in the following small steps. In this resource, children are explicitly shown the link between finding specific percentages (10%, 5%, 1%, 20%, 25% and 50%) of an amount and how that can also be found by splitting an amount equally using fraction knowledge. Children will reason if a child has correctly calculated percentage, reason if a hundred square has been used to find percentage correctly and solve a problem linking fractions and percentages.
