This Year 6 Percentage of an Amount (Related to Fractions) Varied Fluency worksheet will consolidate prior learning about what percentages are before building on that knowledge in the following small steps. In this resource, children are explicitly shown the link between finding specific percentages (10%, 5%, 1%, 20%, 25% and 50%) of an amount and how that can also be found by splitting an amount equally using fraction knowledge. Children will complete sentences to scaffold that learning, find given percentages using bar models as support and complete calculations. All answers are provided so that marking is as straightforward as possible!
