      Thank you for your feedback!

The letters are for different levels within the resource. E = Expected, D = Developing, S = Secure and M = Mastery.

      I hope that this helps!

  2. I noticed chapter 1 has the extract within the pack. Is there any chance of getting there other chapters?

    • Hi Luke,

You will need the book for the pack so the children can use it to complete the questions/activities for each chapter. Each first chapter has a free extract to give you a taste of what the book is about. We do however provide Whole Class Guided Reading comprehension texts that do not require published books. You can search under ‘Original Texts’ in Topic/Skill in our search filter for Year 3 and Year 4. Hope this helps. Emily 🙂

  3. it would be better if there were more stand alone comprehensions, these are entirely dependent on having these particular books in school. 🙁 🙁

  4. Does this amazing resource need a whole class pack of the text? Or is it usable with just the teacher’s copy?

    • Hi Annabel,

Yes. You will need the book for the pack so the children can use it to complete the questions/activities and use it as a reference for each chapter.

      • Sorry, I must not have been clear. What I mean is – do I need 30 copies of the text, or can I run this with just one?!

        • Hi Annabel, It is entirely up to you. Some teachers use 30 copies, some share texts, some teachers put it up on the whiteboard for everyone to see.
