This KS2 War Horse Chapter 15 Whole Class Guided Reading Pack includes differentiated questions and activities based on chapter fifteen of the popular novel by Michael Morpurgo.
In this chapter, Joey is mourning Topthorn and Friedrich when a tank comes over this hill and sends him into a blind panic. Joey bolts across the river and up the other side. He continues to gallop but gets his leg caught in barbed wire. He manages to free himself but is badly injured. He eventually stops and rests but when he wakes again, the shelling scares him and he bolts again. He comes to a halt when the mist is too thick to see though and he hears voices ahead of him. As the mist clears, he realises he is once again in no man's land.
This pack contains colour-coded questions to ensure clear differentiation, as well as differentiated challenge tasks focussed upon adjectives, subordinate clauses, conjunctions and synonyms.
