War Horse Chapter 3 Comprehension Whole Class Guided Reading

War Horse Chapter 3 Comprehension pack is for Whole Class Guided Reading and includes differentiated questions and activities based on the third chapter of the popular novel by Michael Morpurgo. The third chapter explores the complex relationship Albert has with his parents. Whilst he loves and respects his mother, he does not agree with his father's drinking. Albert is asked to run an errand for his father which he first refuses to do, but after some encouragement from his mother he leaves the farm to run the errand. Meanwhile, his father enters Joey's stall and is kind towards him, which confuses Joey greatly. We recommend using this novel with Year 5 & Year 6.
