War Horse Chapter 4 Comprehension Whole Class Guided Reading

War Horse Chapter 4 Comprehension for Whole Class Guided Reading includes differentiated questions and activities based on the forth chapter of the popular novel by Michael Morpurgo. We recommend using this novel with Year 5 & Year 6. In this chapter, Albert's father takes Zoey and Joey into the village where there is a recruitment event for the army. Albert's father has decided to sell Joey to the army for £40 to help pay the mortgage on the farm. Albert asks the captain if he can join up to stay with Joey but is told he is too young. Devastated, Albert turns and leaves Joey with the captain, his new owner.
