Ideas for the week commencing 9th March 2026
As I write this the weather seems to have turned and Spring has arrived. I hope the weather is good where you are. As always, here is a round up of resources to support you next week.
British Science Week
We are celebrating British Science Week here at Classroom Secrets. Make sure you sign up to our FREE assembly with Picture News. We will be exploring why oceans matter and how small actions can help protect marine life and biodiversity.
The assembly is hosted by Picture News and is LIVE on Wednesday 11th March 9.15am – 9.45am. Sign up here:
We’ve also got resources linked to the Ocean to continue this conversation after the assembly. The theme is ‘Curiosity: what’s your question?’ so we think you will love our concept cartoons that address common misconceptions link to your science topic.
International Women's Day
This celebration on 8th March provides an important opportunity for teachers and families to educate and inspire children about gender equality. We have pulled together Rise and Read packs to start the discussion about many inspiring women. Many are linked to the world of Science.
