Number
What do golf balls, jelly and number pieces all have in common? They are all part of our EYFS Recall One Less Provision Enhancement resource! Children will enjoy partaking in a range of different tasks whilst developing their understanding of finding one less. Each activity comes with advice and ideas, along with a colourful image for children to refer to.
It covers the following objectives for children in reception:
(M-26) Understand the one more than/one less than relationship between consecutive numbers.
(M-27) Explore the composition of numbers to 10.
(M-28) Automatically recall number bonds for numbers 010.
Curriculum Objectives
- Have a deep understanding of number to 10, including the composition of each number
- Subitise (recognise quantities without counting) up to 5
- Automatically recall (without reference to rhymes, counting or other aids) number bonds up to 5 (including subtraction facts) and some number bonds to 10, including double facts
