Use this Universe challenge sheet to support and assess pupils' growing confidence with percentage calculations relating to the 1-12 times tables. It includes three challenges!

• The main challenge presents a range of percentage calculations.

• The Shining Bright challenge supports children by presenting the facts in a systematic order.

• The Stellar Performance challenge stretched pupils' understanding with trickier percentages, word problems and a number grid.

  This resource could be used as an intervention, help to boost a class’ recall, or work as a whole-school program that children can work through from Year 1 to Year 6. The resource includes a certificate to encourage participation through the 'Reach for the Universe' challenges. Once children have completed this challenge, the have travelled the whole universe with their times table understanding!
