This EYFS Doubling to 20 Number Learning Activity enables children to practise the concept of doubling. They are first required to identify, by either counting using one-to-one correspondence or by subitising, the amount shown and record the numeral in the box. Then, children can automatically recall the double fact, write the numeral and draw the matching amount or alternatively draw double the amount first to help them record the numeral.
It covers the following objectives for children in reception:
(M-21) Count objects, actions and sounds.
(M-22) Subitise.
(M-28) Automatically recall number bonds for numbers 0-5 and some to 10.
