Develop language skills with our EYFS Jack and Jill Language Development activity! This adult-led resource has a clear and easy to follow structure and includes four engaging activities. Linked to this well-known nursery rhyme, these activities cover words, initial sounds and rhyming. A session could involve all the activities or a selection based on the needs of the children.
Curriculum Objectives
- Participate in small group, class and one-to-one discussions, offering their own ideas, using recently introduced vocabulary
- Use and understand recently introduced vocabulary during discussions about stories, non-fiction, rhymes and poems and during role-play
- Spell words by identifying sounds in them and representing the sounds with a letter or letters
