This engaging KS1 Ramadan Reading Activity will introduce your class to the month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, reflection, prayer and community for Muslims, through the eyes of a child.

The story follows a fictional character, Rashana, a young Muslim girl that wakes up early to eat her first meal before Fajr prayer, and then continues her day while fasting at school.

Children have the opportunity to draw a picture that illustrates the paragraphs in the text.

This followed by reading comprehension questions where children must tick the correct answer to show that they have understood the text.
