This engaging LKS2 Ramadan Reading Activity will introduce your class to the month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, reflection, prayer and community for Muslims, through the eyes of a child.

The story follows a fictional character, Yusuf, a young Muslim boy that wakes up early to eat his first meal before Fajr prayer, and then continues his day while fasting at school.

The story is followed by reading comprehension questions that ensure children have understood the text.

Children also have the opportunity to draw a picture that illustrates one of the paragraphs in the text.
