Use this engaging LKS2 5-Minute Computing resource during Computer Science Education Week (CSEd Week) to help inspire children to explore computer science and celebrate the contributions of pioneers in the field.

It features three sets of five quick questions covering programming, search engines, digital literacy and online safety, each with an accompanying answer sheet. The questions come in many forms, including tick-box multiple choice, ordering instructions, matching activities, true or false grids, word banks, input and output tables and short written explanations. They allow children to test their knowledge of sequence, repetition, debugging and following directions, as well as how to search effectively, judge whether a website is trustworthy and respond safely to concerns online, while learning something new about the world of computing.

Computer Science Education Week is held annually in whichever week the 9th December falls to honour the celebrated computer scientist, Grace Hopper.
