The Bristol Bus Boycott Whole School Assembly can be used in an assembly or in class this Black History Month to help teach children the importance of inclusion, fairness, and equality.

The presentation begins with setting the scene in the 1960s, touching on what life might have been like for Black people back then, before moving on to exploring what the Bristol Bus Boycott was, the important people involved, the outcomes of the boycott, as well as the impact it had on wider society.

Black History Month is celebrated throughout October every year, and the Bristol Bus Boycott began in April 1963.
