This Year 3 Consolidating Prefixes Mixed Activity worksheet will give children the opportunity to practise consolidating prefixes.

They will match prefixes to their meanings, underline root words and tick words that can have a specific prefix added. They will then move onto reasoning about a mistake in a word with a prefix added to it, explain whether a word has had a prefix added correctly and write words that can be formed using given root words.

The range of questions, from fluency to reasoning and application, will engage and challenge children and enable them to secure their learning in a variety of ways. Answers are provided to ensure your marking is as quick and easy as possible.

Other resources for this block are also available, such as a homework worksheet, an application extended writing opportunity and a teaching PowerPoint.
