Different Types of Sentences Application

Worksheet
An image of the Different Types of Sentences Application Resource

Children can showcase their use of different sentences by using our Year 3 Different Types of Sentences Application activity. For this resource, children are asked to write a diary and use a set of rules for the first 10 sentences to demonstrate how well they understand different types of sentences.

This would be an ideal resource to use in class as an independent activity once children are secure in their knowledge of using different sentence types, such as statements, questions and the use of adverbs. You could also ask children to tackle this activity in pairs or small groups to encourage collaboration and discussion. There's an example answer included for children to compare their answer to. This can be used as a teaching tool to show the multiple answers available.
