This Year 3 How Many Ways? Varied Fluency resource will help your pupils to develop a logical way to work out possible combinations. In the first question, they are supported with a partially completed table which encourages them to work methodically. In the second question, they are encouraged to see the connection between times tables and combining objects. In the third question, they progress to working out all possible combinations independently.

An answer sheet is supplied to help busy teachers with their marking and pupils with self-marking.

A reasoning and problem solving resource is also available for this small step.
