Use this Year 4 Present Data in Bar Charts (Recap) Varied Fluency resource to remind your pupils how to present data in a bar chart.

The first question provides a title for the bar chart and labels for each axis to support children as they practise the basics. In the second question, they look at the data in a table and decide on the title, axis labels and scale for themselves. In the third question, they convert a tally to a frequency value before presenting the data in a bar chart. A variety of scales are used to ensure fluency in this key area. Each of the three questions has two similar parts to promote fluency.

There are two pages of questions and two pages of answers in this resource to ensure that there is plenty of space for accurate working.

A reasoning and problem solving resource is also available for this small step.
