Use this Year 5 Converting Millilitres Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to give your pupils further practice converting measurements in millilitres to litres and back again.
In the first question, they decide whether a statement made about converting measurements is correct and explain their ideas using mathematical language. The second and third questions are both problem solving and will test your pupils' ability to think of more than one possible answer. In the first of these two questions, they select measurements that will make a comparison statement correct. They then go on to think of possible measurements that could be put into a function machine to give a certain output . Each question has two similar parts to promote confidence and independence.
An answer sheet is provided to support teachers with marking and pupils with self-marking.
A varied fluency resource is also available for this small step.
