This Year 5 Using Devices to Build Cohesion worksheet provides differentiated questions along with answers. It will challenge your children to apply their knowledge of cohesive devices and provides an opportunity to show their understanding by reasoning how and why they are used.

It covers a range of cohesive devices such as expanded noun phrases, adverbials, relative clauses, parenthesis for clarity and relative pronouns.

This differentiated worksheet allows you to provide children with the correct level of challenge and can be completed independently, in pairs or with adult support.
