Looking for an extra challenge to secure children's knowledge to calculate area of triangles? Look no further than this Year 6 Area of a Triangle Counting Squares discussion problem resource. We've created two different open-ended problem solving questions for children to become experts in area! The first question required children to look at the clues to draw triangles that meet the requirements. The second question allows children to explore the relationship between the length of the sides and the area of the triangles.
This resource is perfect to use as a challenge activity in small groups or pairs. Alternatively, it could be displayed on the screen for the whole class to individually test their skills with.
